Pi day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). The holiday is observed on March 14 which represents the value of pi, 3.14.

#1 – Pizza

You can order a pizza for delivery or you can select your favorite toppings and make your own. Use any kind of crust that you wish and your favorite toppings. Below is an easy recipe that you and your friends will love.

Quick Easy Pizza

Mix 2 1⁄2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 1 tablespoon fast rise yeast. Next, mix 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon oil and add to the dry mix. Knead and let it rest in a covered greased bowl for 30 minutes. Punch the dough down and shape into a circle, add your favorite toppings and bake for 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees. Share with your friends or enjoy it all by yourself while watching your favorite tv show.

#2 – Chocolate Pie

Make-you-smile Chocolate Pie

Combine crumbled crackers, brown sugar, and flour in a bowl and mix well. Add melted butter and stir until it looks like a thick paste. Press the crumbs down the bottom and sides of a 9 x 1.5-inch pie pan. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes and set aside. Use your favorite brand of instant chocolate pudding and pie filling mix to make the filling. Then bake according to instruction. Top off with whipped cream, shaved chocolate or fruits.

#3 – Carlota

Carlotta’s origins are from England but it is well-known in Mexico and other Latin American countries. This delicious lime pie will make your pi day your favorite holiday. You’ll only need a few ingredients and it takes no time to make it. Check the full recipe below. 

Add ¾ cup lime juice (do not use bottled), 1 can of evaporated milk, and 1 can of condensed milk to a blender and blend until smooth. The lime will coagulate the milks and the paste will thicken a little. In a mold make layers of your blend and maria biscuits until you run out of mix. Cover and put inside the fridge overnight. Once firm, top off with lime zest, a thin slice of lime, and strawberries.

#4 – Apple Pie

An American classic. Who doesn’t think of grandma when the smell of apple pie hits the air? Celebrate pi day with a buttery slice of apple pie. Choose your favorite kind of apples, grab a roll of pie crust, and head to the kitchen. In just a few simple steps you can enjoy this delicious treat.

Soak in vinegar, wash, and chop your apples in small chunks. In a cast iron, add some butter, a splash of water, and sugar. Let the ingredients melt for a few minutes then add the apple chunks. Toss and glaze with the sugar and butter until the apples are tender and the mix has thickened. Spread the pie crust onto your favorite pie baking dish and fill with the apple mix. Top with the rest of the crust and bake.

#5 – Flatbread

The first cousin of pizza ! flatbread is so delicious. A nice crunchy layer of dough with your favorite toppings. Do you want a cheesy one or something completely new? No matter what you are in the mood for, flatbread will not disappoint you. Grab some naan during your next grocery store trip so you can be ready for this easy flavor-loaded recipe.

Fig & Arugula Naan Bread

Brush your naam with a fig spread, add red onion slices, crumble some goat cheese, top with mozzarella cheese and sprinkle some walnuts. Bake your bread for about 5 minutes until browned and remove from the oven. Add your arugula and you can optionally drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
